Bath Buddies

Here are some pictures of my little cuties in their bathrobes!


I tried my best to get the actual picture but of course, I could not. When I was dressing Cayden, as you can see, I had them in the same bed and when they were laying there, they reached out and were holding hands. So I stop immediately and go get the camera and of course I did not catch it but you can get the idea here. It was so sweet...I love the way they look for each other and always get so happy to see each other. I know that will change soon, so I am enjoying it and documenting it.

Cayden's sleep cycle

I have a cute little story to share with you. First, do not freak out, I do not let my child sleep like this all night. So, Cayden is a bit difficult some nights.....he is so afraid he is going to miss something so he fights sleep...but it appears that if he puts the blanket over his face it drowns everything out (well, most nights-some nights, nothing works)...see.....

how cute is that? It does not matter how many times we would go in there and take the blankie off, he would find a way to put it right back like it was...so we have given up and let him leave it there until he falls asleep....so the blankie over the head leads to this...

More new pictures

OK, are you in shock? Two new posts in one night.....
As you can tell, we are excited about baseball season and hope the Yankees do better as the season goes 8-)

Too cool!!!!

How CUTE are my men in their sunglasses? They love being outside so we got them some glasses to keep the sun out of their eyes. They did so good keeping them on. I got a little picture happy this day but every time I took a picture they would do something so cute I had to get another picture.

OK, I get the hint

Well, I know it has been a while and as you can see from the pictures, the boys have changed so much! So, for all of you who have emailed and hinted around I need to post some new pictures...I get it, Pop, Kathryn, Tammy....here are new pictures 8-)
The boys are growing so much, they will be 6 months old next week...I can NOT believe it...where does the time go? They are both teething, as you will see in a lot of the pictures, they have drool running all down them, they are both rolling over and scooting around everywhere. It is so amazing to me how they literally wake up one morning and know how to do something new. I am having such a good time with them, I did not think I could love them more than the day they were born, but my love for them grows every single day.

Hospital Stay

Well, this has been a rough week. Last Sunday we had to admit Brennon to the hospital, he was dehydrated. He caught some type of viral stomach bug and it really got him. I have to tell you, that is truly one of the hardest things Brent or I have experienced. When they put the iv in my baby I can tell you I have NEVER hurt that way before. It truly ripped my heart out, I would have had them do to it to me 100 times if it could have prevented it for my little man. He has had a time, we ended up staying in the hospital until Thursday-we are home now trying to get him back to his old self. It was rough on all of us, being away from Cayden was terrible...but the family is all together now and we are hoping all this sickness is behind us (for now). There are several pictures of Brennon on here....as you can see from us dressing him up 8-) he was quite the trooper....even as bad as he felt he still had all the nurses and doctors eating out of his hands with that sweet smile and precious laugh of his. He is truly an angel....these boys will never know what they have given me.....my whole world has changed because of these two sweet souls.
Thank you all for the calls, prayers, food, etc. We truly can't thank you enough!

Little Models

Three posts in two days, are you in shock? As many of you know I have launched a website for my photography and that has had me busy. While trying to get the site up and running I took advantage of the studio I have set up and took some new pictures of the boys. They were such sweethearts! Brennon loves the camera and was having a ball-Cayden, as you can tell, was pooped! I thought it was so cute the way he fell asleep!

Mississippi Winter

Ok, so there is no such thing as a Mississippi Winter so the first time it got even close to cold I had to put the boys in their big winter coat. I was just waiting for it.....I bought these coats for them right after we found out it was two boys and could not wait to put them on them. Brennon is so hot natured so obviously he HATED it but he was a good sport but Cayden didn't seem to mind as you can tell in the picture of him in his seat asleep. I walked in after putting Brennon in the car and Cayden's hat had come down over his eyes and he was sacked out. So mommy got to see them in their coats once and that will be the last time until summer when we freeze them out with the a/c...haha!

Tornadoes

So, I have to share a funny story....as some of you know, I am HORRIFIED of bad weather, well one of these stormy days recently the sirens were going off and the tv was saying funnel clouds had been spotted on both sides of us...so it goes without saying that I was freaking out (bring back memories, Penny???) It was right at time to feed the little men so I decided we needed to move to the bathroom. Well, I take their bottles, diapers, blankets, toys, etc and load us up in the bathroom, then I get the pillows off our chair to "cover" us. I put the boys on their Boppy Loungers and put them in the tub...I was all prepared for the storm. The sirens continue to go off and I decide I am going to be brave and look outside...so I peak out of the hallway to look outside and of course it scared me to death and so I quickly make my way back to the bathroom. I walk in to the boys showing all of their fear..ha ha!!! I got so tickled at myself and then at them that all I could do was sit in the floor and laugh! These pictures do not do it justice but I had to share them! For those of you who have had the unfortunate experience of being with me during bad weather, I know you are extremely amused by this story!

Play time and more

I have included several new pictures...there are a few of them playing with their rattles Pop gave them, they are having so much fun. Of course, I had to include some new ones of them sleeping...are they not the sweetest things? I put a few on there of just sweet little pictures, Cayden in his little flannel shirt and Brennon having so much fun playing. The picture of them in their little striped shirt and blue jeans is to show how much they have grown...remember the pictures of them in their MSU shirts?????? the jeans were literally falling off of them WELL NOW Brennon is too long for his and Cayden's belly hangs over his 8-) So hard to believe!

Puppy Love 8-)

This is Lucy, Brennon and Cayden's girlfriend. Our friends, Johnny and Lisa are Lucy's parents. We LOVE Lucy and this is the cutest picture so I had to share it with you all! Lucy was born a month before the boys so Lisa and I have plenty of things to occupy our conversation. Isn't she the cutest thing?

Growing boys

The boys are just growing and changing so much every day! They went to the doctor today and both weighed 13.5 pounds...I can not believe it! They are both just talking and laughing and really learning to use that bottom lip to sucker mommy right in. It is so much fun watching them discover things that they really like....Cayden LOVES his toys that light up, he will just sit and watch them as long as they are playing and Brennon appears to like animals (just like mommy). He has a picture of a rabbit on his Baby Einstein play mat and he loves it. He just laughs at it. They are both trying their best to turn over, it won't be long now. Cayden is ready to get up and go and Brennon is content hanging out and having us act a fool to hear that sweet laugh of his. For those still trying to figure which one is which, just look for little Brent, that is Cayden...he looks JUST like his daddy! The picture of Cayden is him helping mommy and daddy cook in the kitchen (more daddy cooking than mommy)...he is sitting up so well in his Bumbo chair....I got so tickled at the way he was sitting in his chair. The picture of Brennon is just TOO sweet! They have both found their hands and are amazed with them...they keep their hands in their mouth, especially Brennon!

Play Time

I am slowly getting into this "blog world"....and after spending some time reading and looking at other people's blogs, I have realized that I do not give much detail on my posts 8-) ..which could be a good thing....so I am going to try to do better with that. After I spent so much time reading other people's blogs that I did not even know I realized it could be interesting and a great way for those who don't see the boys to feel like they know them. They are really starting to form little personalities of their own. These are pictures of them playing in their play pen for the first time. As you can tell, Brennon was having a wonderful time. They were both laughing and talking, Brent and I had such a good time watching them. This morning when we went in to get them they were talking back and forth to each other and laughing. Brennon is such a sweet, patient spirit...he is so happy in the mornings and Cayden is just ready to eat! It is amazing how much of my joy and happiness is wrapped in these two little bodies! I adore my boys!

New Pictures

Ok, I know it has been a while since I have posted anything but I have learned some new things so maybe that will make up for my lack of new pictures! Again, thanks to my sweet friend, Kim, I have learned all kinds of new, fun things for this blog. I hope you all enjoy it! I have included a slideshow with some pictures that we had made of the boys by a local photographer.

Big Boys

The boys are doing so good holding their little heads up and looking around so I put them in their Bumbo chairs....Cayden loves it and is doing so good...Brennon is still getting there 8-)...as you can tell in the picture, he does not love it! I still can not believe how big they are getting! It seems like yesterday I was pregnant and then at other times, it seems like years ago. I can not even remember life before them! They have truly completed my life! I love my boys in a way I never knew possible! Sorry, I did not mean to get so sappy....I am just realizing how fast it goes by and I am savoring every second!

Bath time
